yesterday i watched "combichrist" in matrix/bochum and it was fucking great!!
actually i´ve been there to take some shots for a german goth-music-mag (sonic seducer) and i didn´t expect much because the location is totally shit for doing concerts. the hall is called tube and that is justified. its like 15 people can stay in a row and behind one could be about 50 rows i think. the sound is also pretty bad, mostly.
supported were combichrist by "sam" two young really fantastic guys rocking like crazy with their industrial-electro-moviesamples-noize thing.
that was pretty good, but then came combichrist!! i never saw such drummer before
it looks just so fantastic. they did things i just can´t explain. one of them threw a stick on the stage grapped another one without missing any beat. everything just for the show and to bother the backliner who was supposed to pick up all the sticks just to gave them back the drummer who threw them away again pretty shortly after he got them back
at the end of the show both drummer use their instruments for something like a big snowball fight.
the leadsinger was also great of course and he was very good in interacting with the !!
i really could´nt let myself go like this before. my neck hurts pretty bad and also the rest of my muscles do but it was really worth it!!
